WE BELIEVE THE BIBLE IS THE INSPIRED WORD OF GOD. WE BELIEVE IT IS ACCURATE. WE BELIEVE IT IS THE AUTHORITATIVE ROAD MAP FOR OUR EVERYDAY LIVES.
2 Timothy 3:16
WE BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, REVEALED AS FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT. WE BELIEVE GOD IS PERFECT, HOLY, AND LOVES ALL OF US.

WE BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST WAS THE ONLY SON OF GOD. JESUS IS FULLY GOD AND FULLY MAN. JESUS WAS BORN OF THE VIRGIN MARY, LIVED A SINLESS AND EXEMPLARY LIFE, DIED FOR OUR SINS, WAS BURIED, RESURRECTED, AND NOW REIGNS IN HEAVEN.

WE BELIEVE THAT THROUGH THE SACRIFICE OF JESUS SINNERS CAN BE SAVED. WE BELIEVE JESUS IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN RECONCILE US TO GOD.

WE BELIEVE IN WATER BAPTISM AS AN OUTWARD SIGN OF AN INWARD BELIEF.

WE BELIEVE GOD HAS GIVEN US THE GIFT OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT SO THAT WE CAN LIVE A HOLY AND PROSPEROUS LIFE. WE BELIEVE GOD WANTS US TO BE FILLED WITH THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, WHICH ENABLES US TO USE MANY SPIRITUAL GIFTS, INCLUDING SPEAKING IN TONGUES.

ABOUT US
The church now known as the City of God World Prayer Center, was first formed in Savannah, New York in 1974. Known by many as the New Life Christian Center, Jesus touched many lives through the ministries, school and work of the congregation, though for the last few years, the life in the Church has simplified to the Sunday service, morning prayer sessions and hosting the Savannah food pantry.
In late 2022, the Lord called us to open the Palmyra location as the evening service and on April 9, 2023 (Resurrection Sunday), we were able to resurrect a dead church by renting the former Methodist Church at the four corners in Palmyra.
We have two services each Sunday- 10:00 AM in Savannah, NY and 6:00 PM in Palmyra. All are welcome to join us. Please come and see.
We have seen Jesus transform lives- both in our own lives and also in the lives of those around us. We seek to worship in His manifest presence each day, knowing that in the presence of Jesus there is joy, peace and healing. The words of Jesus are “Come to me all you who are weary and I will give you rest.” This rest is actually the peace with God that comes from accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, where we are freed from the chains and shame of past failures. We want to help all who come, to understand God’s love through Jesus and be strengthened in their personal walk with Him.
